It’s been a long time since my last post. I’ve neglected the blog and the Reader Army newsletter because I’ve been pretty damn busy.
This summer I bought a 107-year-old house and moved from Missouri to Colorado Springs. Living in the city has been a big adjustment for me, but I’ve found the time to get out in the mountains with my boyfriend and my sweet puppy, Luna.
As many of you know, I’ve also been busy crafting a brand-new dystopian series that I KNOW you’re going to love. The first book is called Lawless, and it’s got all the action, romance, and intrigue of The Fringe. If you liked that series, you’ll LOVE Lawless.
The digital version will be out November 30th wherever books are sold, and I’m offering some very special perks to those who buy the book within the first 48 hours. (For more details, make sure you join my Reader Army mailing list.) Let’s just say, it’s gonna be awesome.
Here’s a little about the book:
When Lark was sentenced to twenty-five years behind bars, she thought San Judas was her lucky break. The primitive 16,000-acre community in rural New Mexico isn’t like any other prison. There are no cells, there is no warden, and Mother Mercy is the law.
She didn’t realize she’d be fighting for survival on a daily basis — battling hunger, violent inmates, and Mother Mercy’s iron fist. Lark’s only friend is Bernie — an off-the-rails environmental activist doing time for arson — and a mysterious stranger who’s been sending her illicit messages from the men’s colony.
Lark never thought escaping San Judas was possible until a message in a bottle changes everything: The guards outside the walls are disappearing, and the world as they know it is coming to an end.
