Read the First Chapter of ‘Annihilation’

You’ve waited. You’ve wondered. You’ve reread books 1-4.

Well, friends, the wait is almost over: Annihilation is coming June 20. Will you be ready?

Today, I’m thrilled to unveil the cover designed by the insanely talented Slobodan Cedic. Isn’t it awesome?

I’m also ready to share an exclusive sneak peek…FYI, members of my Reader Army get these previews and alerts on special deals before anybody else, so make sure you join to stay up-to-date on all things Fringe. (Hint, hint: I’m doing something super special for the Annihilation release. You won’t want to miss it!)

Here’s a little tease on what’s to come in book five:

Eli and Harper have fled the compound — on the run from the people who once fought by their side. Owen has been captured, Sawyer is infected, and Celdon is facing a crisis of conscience.

Beyond the cleared zone, Harper and Eli have joined forces with two unlikely allies. They have a plan to rescue Owen, but that means delaying their search for a cure that could save the compound from a deadly epidemic.

When Eli gets wind of an attack on the compound that puts Owen’s life in jeopardy, everything changes. Eli is determined to carry out the rescue, but Harper and the others know blazing through a war zone would spell disaster.

To save the people she loves, Harper will have to make a choice: follow Eli along on a suicide mission to rescue Owen, or push forward without him to find a cure.

In the heart-pounding final chapter of The Fringe, every choice has its consequences. Relationships will be tested, friends will perish, and the desert will burn.

  1. I should’ve listened to my daughter and not read that until the book came out…now I have to wait 20 DAYS to read more. Uggghhh…why did I do that to myself??? So, yeah, it’s REALLY good 🙂

  2. mental image of some one jumping up and down in glee. this came out JUST as I was finishing book 4 on audio and I’m both completely elated and deflated by the sneak peek. YES because Eli (swoon) and YES because Harper and YES and YES because amazing cover and YES because all the love. NO because ugh omg 20 days how will I survive?!?!? 😉 So excited, thank you for the sneak peek!!

  3. Whhhhyyyyyyyy?!?!?! This is as bad as watching the beauty and the beast teaser and knowing I have to wait a year before I can take my girls to see it! Why do I do this to myself?! You torment us! You’re evil! 😊 The only thing I imagine will be worse is the moment I ready the last word in the book and know there will be no more to follow. I’ve just gotten my sister hooked now too. I’m jealous of her that she’s just getting started and still has 4 books ahead of her. Got my alarm set for midnight again.

  4. Will the book be available on amazon kindle? Im trying to find where I can either pre order it or where I can order it on the 20th.

      1. THANK GOD! I got my whole family sucked into this book series and we have been waiting for an update on the release date! I LOVE your writing style 🙂 Looking forward to reading more of your work.

  5. This book starts right off with the same intensity that book 4 ended with. And the chapter ends with the same type of cliff hangar to make us readers insane until the book is released. I can’t wait. I have a feeling this may be the best book yet as everything comes full circle! Thanks for sharing it with us. 🙂

  6. I have never loved a series as much as I love the Fringe! Some authors have come close but no one can compete with the art you have put into five books. I can already feel my heart slowly breaking knowing my favorite series of all time is coming to an end. I know I sound dramatic, but it is so difficult to find post-apocalyptic books written for adults and amazing ones at that. My list of readable books is dwindling… Thank you so much for these amazing books that have so easily transported me to another world when studying for college finals has become to much. Thank you for your devotion to your fans. Just thank you.

    1. Aww, thanks Ciara! You’re so sweet. This note made my morning. I agree that it’s hard to find post-apocalyptic books written for adults. I was actually in college myself when I decided to write books for people like me! And don’t despair about The Fringe coming to an end…I’ll have something cool for you to read soon. 🙂
