It’s been a while, I know. I’ve fallen off the grid lately trying to finish up book three in the Defectors Trilogy, and I sincerely apologize. The book is running behind schedule, but rest assured that it is written.
I’ve already done two initial rounds of editing, and it’s been seen by Beta Reader No. 1 — my first line of defense for all my books who doesn’t hesitate to tell me when things are wildly confusing and need to be changed.
Right now, if I’m being realistic, book three will be released in early June. (Yes, I’m so far behind that it does not even have a title yet.) I’m going to be gathering beta readers here in the next week or two, so if you would like to be the first to read the book and tell me your thoughts, drop me a line at email@example.com. (If you’re not sure what a beta reader does, you can read more about it here.)
I do have a good reason for falling behind on Defectors edits, though. I’ve been sucked in to the world of my next series, which I think Defectors readers will enjoy. There’s been a lot of world-building and plotting involved, and it’s a story that’s demanding to be told in a way that’s wildly different from anything I’ve written before. (For one thing, it’s a dual-perspective story told by two pretty kick-ass characters.)
Make sure you sign up for my email list to be the first to receive updates on book three and find out what’s next for Haven and Amory.
